You should also visit the CLICK -->> channel 4 E-STINGS page - although the competition for 2013 is closed you can still see them all from the site. There will, I'm sure, be a 2014 competition :)

You need to know that this is for inspiration to help you come up with a plan for your own animation AND for you to demonstrate you understand about current and modern uses of animation.

You MUST choose 5 favourites and embed them – be really careful to embed only the video and not the whole playlist. To do this you must untick the box 'share with playlist' on the 'embed' (or add link) tab and then take the embed (link) code. If all else fails you should note the video names down and we can embed them later.

You should write a short commentary – suitable for a distinction level pass! – covering the following:

1. Why do you like it?

TECHNICAL – camera work, scenes, techniques of animation, mix of techniques, well made, well paced, colours, fonts/titles, graphics, sound

CONTENT – creative? random? made sense? message clear? purpose clear? characters? meaning? funny? What made it interesting to you? etc

2. Key inspirations you have had overall

3. Ideas and things you would like to use/try in your animation

4. Things you need to have and do in order to fulfil your ideas (e.g. do you need to find an online animation programme? Learn After Effects? Learn Garageband? etc etc)
